The director of Elden Ring says it is very close to his ideal game

Anglo de Elden is easily one of the most anticipated 2022 games, and a large part of that anticipation can be attributed to the director Hideaway Miyazaki. The work of Miyazaki in the Souls series has won many followers and the newest director’s project sounds quite promising. In fact, Miyazaki would go as far as to say that with Anglo de Elder, he is creating what he would consider him ideal game of him. In a new interview published in the 367 of Edge magazine, Miyazaki revealed that he actually does not play the games he creates, but if he did it, this is what he would want.

New FROMSOFT PS5 Exclusive? Bloodborne 2 not happening, ELDEN RING at Gamescom? BIG MAYBE!
I did not address it in terms of ‘This is the kind of open world game I want to do.’ It is only that the open world enriches this ideal experience that I am trying to achieve, said Miyazaki to Edge. To give some very simple examples, if I had to explore this world, I would like a map, an adequate map. Or, you know if I saw something there, I would like to be able to review and explore it. And I would like to fight with a dragon on epic sand. Things like this. It’s something very simple, but Anglo de Elden allows many of these things to become a reality for me, creating something that approaches my ideal game.

Of course, just because Anglo de elder is what Miyazaki is looking for in a game, it does not mean that it is what the fans of him specifically expect to see. That said, enthusiasm around the title has been quite strong in recent months, and it is evident that players are interested in seeing the final results. With luck, fromSoftware can keep the landing!

Anglo de Elden is scheduled to launch on February 25, 2022, at PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S and PC. You can check all our previous game coverage here.
