The European Parliament wants to ban firmly installed or bonded batteries to extend the repairability and thus the life of electrical appliances. Users should exchange the power storage in smartphones, computers, headphones, electric antiposters, but also e-bikes and scooters with commercially available tools. The European Parliament approved a corresponding proposal of the EU Commission for more sustainable dealing with rechargeable batteries and largely expanded it.
