The Appearly Star Christopher Nkunku, which is allegedly from FC Bayern, will stay beyond the season at RB Leipzig. This made Managing Director Oliver Mintzlaff in front of the semi-final game in the DFB Cup against Union Berlin.
“I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it here again in the ARD: Christopher Nkunku is our player in the coming season,” Minttzlaff said.
The 24-year-old Nkunku has drawn the interest of European top clubs with strong achievements this season.
In the Bundesliga, the French national player met 17 times in this season. He changed in 2019 by Paris Saint-Germain to Leipzig. His contract is still running until 2024.
FC Bayern at Limer obviously chanceless
Most recently, the Austrian Konrad Laimer had been associated with other clubs, including Rekordmeister Bayern Munich.
“There are no inquiries, and those would also bounce to us,” said Mintzlaff over a possible interest in Laimer and Nkunku. “Our goal is when we talk about the next season that we hold the team together.”
In the Europa League, the Leipzig will be in the semi-finals in this season, as a Bundesliga third party, the Saxons also have very good opportunities for participation in the Champions League.
