Wow: Legion was the expansion, in which my interest after many years wow was slowly going back. Which does not mean that I think Legion for groats, I think the expansion is pretty great. Apart from the fact that the artifact weapons with the Pre Patch to Battle for Azeroth were taken any base of existence, but… well, that’s the way it is with a born player power. It’s a good thing that this should no longer exist in WoW: Dragon Flight. Hurray, dear Blizzard, is a decision that will make many fans.
But back to Legion! There is a mega feature on the devastated islands that most players do not even notice as such, which I personally found a damn terrific and awesome: Suramar. The city of the nightborn is what I always wanted when the WoW developers talked about “Stadt” in the past. Suramar is not swept empty like Gilneas. And Suramar is not as extensive as Ramkahen. Suramar is perfect in my eyes! And that’s why I have the hope that the concept of the adventure city will come back to WoW… But also with WoW: Dragon Flight, I seem to look into the tube. Suramar is huge, super beautiful And awakens the ambition of an adventurer. I want to have that again, please, thank you! Source: Blizzard
Suramar is immersive gameplay in a confined space
Of course Suramar is not perfect, LOL, so really. You don’t need to go to the ceiling right away ^^ Who didn’t get in the narrow, winding streets? Who didn’t look for ages for a way to this one tower in which there was a treasure? Who did not annoy themselves about the delighted “Stop, who is there?” Creams of an entire armada of nightborns? Who didn’t go on it all the time because the phase was sometimes absolute groats? And who didn’t find timegating stupid?
There is a lot of negative saying about Suramar, but I personally prefer this city to the widespread world quests in every expansion zone… always. I understand that the WoW makers want to keep the zones of an extension alive by asking the players via world quests to constantly return to the regions that have already been played through. Of course, this is also nice for stragglers if a Maxlevel hero can help you briefly. But this intention is also obsolete when a later content patch adds a new high-level zone, such as Korthia and Zereth Mortis in Shadowlands.
could only be every city like Suramar…
Suramar lives and is crammed with secrets. Inside you can quest, search for treasures, exercise craftsmanship, do world quests or just stroll. And imagine how it could be if a city like iron smithy, storm wind, Orgrimmar or Unterstadt would offer this level in immersion. I love the cities on the old continents, I don’t get me wrong. But in the meantime they have deteriorated to a passage station. If we look at this rationally, then at least half of Sturmwind’s dead land is. After all, it is not that bad in Orgrimmar, but that is probably also because Orgrimmar is not quite as big.
Sturmwind, also stands for scarce panties and an auction house. Sometimes someone drives the deep track. Hui. Source: Orgrimmar
How about at least with every wow extension with a little quest love for Orgrimmar and Sturmwind? Valdrakken, the capital of the dragon islands, will offer professional stations. Why not Orgrimmar and Sturmwind too? Apart from the fact that there is any debate anyway, whether the professional changes from WOW: Dragon Flight affect the entire craft or only on the Dragon Flight Crafting… how about if there is also something in our capitals with every expansion does? A small quest here or there is no harm, no cosmic threats have to be invented.
A few messengers here, a crafting station over there. Perhaps a small flirt between the tavern owner and the daughter of the cheese seller, and you help because the families don’t like the blood? How would a small detective story that could be continued from time to time – aka hildibrand from Final Fantasy XIV.
Orgrimmar cannot even keep up with storm wind in terms of space (I think), and that alone is a scandal! Source: Orgrimmar
Say: What I actually want is that Valdrakken would be a Suramar 2.0 (although I would find it pretty cool and I also say why), but live for our capitals. Not tradespam life. But a real life for the residents of the city and we can assist them, help them call them to order. I would like that!
Alternatively: Valdrakken has to be freed from the protodrates to the whole dragon islands after our Questi, who forgot that it gave the dragon swarms 10,000 years ago. And we conquer Valdrakken piece for piece, week for week back. Some parts of the city and titanium temple may remain hostile, which would then be places for world quests. Yes, you see right, there is a point for WOW (Buy Now), where I wish Igating, but based on my own quest progress and not on the calendar week.
Imagine that: It is a real struggle to recapture this city. There is the binding a completely different. Then the heroes are all the heart! And of course, the important features like portals in the old world, tavern, postbox, treasury, auction house (yes, that’s in Valdrakken), bank for hero and guild, airmard already on stage 1. Logical. We want to take away nothing to the people (even if I find that pretty cool for the immersion). Everything else but must first be activated. Would be a super cool solution, so that a large city, as there was also Oribos, not so absolutely abundant. Ding is: We have no idea how Valdrakken really looks like. Damn. Who knows, maybe it’s so?
